Marketing of Scientific and Research Organizations (MINIB) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation. All papers are published in English.
Submissions are accepted exclusively through the Editorial System
For inquiries, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the editorial office at minib@ilot.lukasiewicz.gov.pl
Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review by any other journal. Authors retain full copyright and grant the journal a non-exclusive publication license under the Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0 license.
Statements concerning originality, copyright, authorship, and personal data processing are completed directly in the editorial system. Separate declaration forms should not be submitted.
The editorial office documents all instances of research misconduct, including ghostwriting and guest authorship. In confirmed cases, appropriate institutions will be notified.
Authors are expected to present a comprehensive and accurate account of their research, ensuring originality and proper citation of previous work. The submitted manuscript must contain detail and references to public sources of information sufficient for peers to replicate the work or verify its accuracy. Authors must cite and attribute publications influential in shaping the reported work and avoid using information obtained privately without explicit permission. The manuscript should not contain plagiarized material, falsified research data, or inappropriate fragmentation of research papers. Additionally, authors must inform the editor of related manuscripts under consideration elsewhere and avoid submitting the same research to multiple journals. Authors must secure any and all necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted material and ensure ethical compliance in research involving humans or animals. These guidelines are critical to ensure consistency and adherence to academic standards.
Accepted Types of Papers
The journal accepts the following types of contributions:
- Research articles (empirical, theoretical, analytical)
- Review articles (state-of-the-art)
- Case studies — prepared in line with academic standards, with a theoretical background, method of analysis, and generalizable findings
Language
The journal publishes articles in English only. Authors are responsible for language accuracy and ensuring the text is clear, precise, and understandable to readers beyond their immediate specialization. Poor language quality may result in rejection at the preliminary review stage.
Editorial Process and Timeline
The editorial process includes the following steps:
- Initial screening – within 10 working days of submission, the editorial team decides whether to proceed.
- Editorial (technical) review – within the next 10 working days, authors receive comments on structure, style, and formatting.
- Double-blind peer review – conducted by two independent reviewers within a maximum of three calendar months. Authors must respond to each comment.
- Additional review rounds – where applicable.
- Final decision – taken by the editorial board based on the reviews.
Authors must respond to all reviewer comments in detail if revisions are requested. Any objections must be justified. Revised manuscripts must be returned within the deadline provided. Failure to respond may result in suspension of the publication process.
The editorial board reserves the right to edit or shorten manuscripts where necessary.
Article Length and Formatting
The recommended length is 6,000–8,000 words, including tables, figures, footnotes, and references. Longer or shorter texts may be accepted if justified.
Manuscripts should be structured and divided with appropriate subheadings. When abbreviations are used (e.g., institutional names), the full name should be given at first mention, followed by the abbreviation.
Submit the main manuscript file in doc/docx format. Tables, figures, and illustrations should be submitted as separate high-resolution files (minimum 300 dpi). Preferred formats: JPEG for figures, Excel for tables, and PPTX for charts.
Author details (name, affiliation, ORCID, email) must be entered into the editorial system and not appear in the uploaded manuscript file.
Article Structure
Authors are advised to follow the IMRAD structure following international academic standards:
- Introduction – topic rationale, literature review, research aim, research questions, hypotheses,
- Methods – description of research approach, data, techniques, tools,
- Results – presentation of findings,
- Discussion – interpretation, comparison with literature, limitations, implications,
- Conclusion – summary and main conclusions.
Alternative structures may be used for reviews or case studies, provided academic consistency and clarity are maintained.
Authors are encouraged to refer to current sources from full-text databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, and EBSCO.
During the submission process, authors must enter:
- Complete author information: name, affiliation, ORCID, email, CRediT contribution,
- Abstract (150–250 words),
- 3–6 keywords,
- Funding information (if applicable),
- Acknowledgments (if applicable).
Article Title
- The title should be clear and concise, avoiding abbreviations and complex subordinate clauses.
- The title must provide an accurate and comprehensive reflection of the article’s overall content.
Author(s) Information
- The article title should be followed by the full names of the author(s).
- Below the names, provide the name and full address of the institution(s) where the author(s) are affiliated.
- Each author should be marked with superscript numbers alongside their names for corresponding institutional details.
- The first author listed is assumed to be the primary contact for the publication.
- Include the author(s)’ ORCID numbers.
Abstract
Each manuscript must include an abstract of 150 to 250 words and follow a structured format:
- Purpose – the aim of the research,
- Design/methodology/approach – methods used,
- Findings – main results,
- Practical implications – relevance for practice,
- Originality/value – novelty and contribution.
Keywords
Include a minimum of three keywords, with the first keyword representing the primary discipline of the work.
Abbreviations
When abbreviations are used (e.g., institutional names), the full name should be given at first mention, followed by the abbreviation. This also applies to the abstract.
Images and Photographs
- Tables, charts, and figures must be submitted as separate files.
- Accepted formats: Images: JPEG, PNG (min. 300 dpi),
- Charts and data: XLSX,
- Technical or presentation graphics: PDF, PPTX (if necessary, but keep to a minimum),
- Manuscript text should include references to attached files by file name or number.
- Consistently number and title all tables, pictures, and photographs.
- Attribute authorship for illustrations or provide appropriate citations.
ACCESSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Alternative Text (Alt Text)
These guidelines are based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards and are intended to ensure the accessibility of published content for all audiences, including individuals using assistive technologies and those with visual impairments.
To ensure accessibility of publication materials, authors are required to provide alternative text (alt text) for all non-text elements included in the manuscript.
Scope
Alternative text must be provided for:
- figures, photographs, diagrams, and charts,
- all types of graphical elements,
- mathematical formulas and equations (if applicable).
Tables do not require alternative text, provided they are supplied in an editable text format.
General Guidelines
- Alt text should be concise and informative (approximately 100–150 characters).
- It should convey the essential content and function of the element without describing all visual details.
- For equations, the description should reflect their meaning and mathematical structure rather than simply reproducing symbolic notation.
- Alt text should not duplicate captions or information provided in the main text.
- It should not include interpretations that do not directly result from the visual element.
If a given element is fully described in the caption or main text, the following wording may be used:
- “See caption” or
- “See main text”
(however, the alt text field must not be left empty).
Submission Format (Required)
All alternative texts must be provided in a separate table attached to the manuscript.
The table must include the following columns:
- element number (e.g., Fig. 1, Fig. 2),
- element type (figure, table, photograph, equation),
- caption / title,
- corresponding alternative text.
Example
| No. | Type | Caption | Alt text |
| Fig. 1 | Chart | Growth of online advertising spending | Line chart showing an increase in online advertising spending from 2018 to 2023 |
| Fig. 2 | Infographic | Customer journey | Diagram showing stages of the customer journey from awareness to purchase |
| Photo 1 | Photograph | Research institute promotional booth | Research institute booth at an innovation fair with promotional materials and technology displays |
Source of Funding
Detail the sources of funding and contributions from individuals, research centers, associations, etc., after the main text and before the bibliography. For example: “This work was supported by research project No. 7 of T07C 006 12, funded by the State Committee for Scientific Research.”
References
- Sources should be cited in APA style https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/citations
- The bibliography should use APA citation style. Authors should refer to the detailed instructions available at the following link: https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/references
- References should be listed together at the end of the paper; footnotes or endnotes should not be used for this purpose.
- References should be arranged in numerical order according to alphabetical order.
Use of References and Citation Integrity
The journal requires that all references included in submitted manuscripts are accurate, verifiable, and relevant to the content of the work. Authors are responsible for ensuring the reliability and credibility of all cited sources.
The use of fabricated, falsified, or misleading references—including non‑existent publications, incorrectly described sources, or citations that do not support the claims made in the text—is considered a serious breach of publication ethics.
As part of the editorial and peer review process, references may be assessed for accuracy, relevance, and authenticity. Identified irregularities may include:
- citations to non‑existent or unverifiable sources,
- inappropriate or irrelevant references,
- excessive self-citation,
- citation manipulation intended to artificially inflate metrics or misrepresent the state of research.
In cases where false or unreliable references are identified, the Editorial Board may take appropriate action, including:
- requesting clarification or corrections from the authors,
- rejecting the manuscript,
- retracting a published article,
- notifying the authors’ affiliated institutions or appropriate ethics bodies, where applicable.
The journal follows the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling such cases and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity.
By adhering to these guidelines, authors ensure their submissions align with the editorial standards of Marketing of Scientific and Research Organizations (MINIB ), facilitating a smooth publication process.
Use of AI Tools
The use of AI-based tools (e.g., for editing, translation, summarization) is permitted under the following conditions:
- All intellectual content and conclusions remain the original work of the authors.
- No part of the text is AI-generated in place of actual research, nor does it contain fabricated data or sources.
- Confidential, unpublished, or licensed data must not be submitted to AI systems.
No separate disclosure is required for language support or formatting assistance using AI. Authors remain fully responsible for the manuscript’s originality, integrity, and compliance with publishing ethics.
Fees and Copyright
